Dawn Rose (Nicholas) Huebscher, 91, of Oconto, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017 at Bellin Health Oconto Hospital.
Born June 14, 1926 in Oconto County, to the late Wesley and Bernice (Exferd) Nicholas, she graduated from Oconto Falls High School, just short of her 16th birthday. She married Harold Huebscher on Sept. 6, 1945 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 1994.
A lifelong member of Abrams United Methodist Church, she played the organ for them and the Christian Science Church in Oconto. She was a charter member of American Legion Auxiliary, Machickanee Post #523 and was a member of the Rebekah's.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Vincent, Green Bay and Roxana (Ted Haag) Huebscher, Abrams; a son, Lee (Carole) Huebscher, Abrams; two sisters, Laverne Giese, Green Bay and Sylvia (Lowell) Kamke, Oconto Falls; a brother, Leland Nicholas, Oconto Falls; a brother-in-law, Hank Jorgensen, California; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren;
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dona Hass Jorgensen; a son-in-law, Philip Vincent; a sister-in-law, Lois Nicholas and a brother-in-law, Elmer Giese.
Family received relatives and friends at Gallagher Funeral Home in Oconto on Saturday, Aug. 5 from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral services at 11 a.m. Rev. David Henke officiated with burial in Brookside Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
