Jon R. "Hogger" Grenier, 62, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017 in his sleep at home.
Born March 10, 1955, to the late Roger and Jean (Roycraft) Grenier, he graduated from Marinette High School in 1973 and married Charlotte Knutson on Sept. 27, 1980.
He was a member of the Northernaires Drum and Bugle Corp and worked in manufacturing for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was an avid sports and Packer fan, but his family came first. He had a good sense of humor, lived life by his own rules, always had an interesting memory to add to a story of any topic and was known for the phrase, "It is what it is".
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; two sons, Justin (Trisha) Grenier of Wrightstown and Jake (Kelly) Grenier of DePere; a daughter, Jessica Grenier of Fond du Lac; two granddaughers; a brother, Steve (Darcey) Grenier of Oconomowoc; his mother-in-law, Margie Knutson of Marinette; brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Merle Knutson.
Visitation was held on Sunday, Aug. 6 at Thielen Funeral Home in Marinette at 1 p.m.,followed by a Celebration at 3 p.m. at the Rail House, 2029 Old Peshtigo Ct., Marinette.
