THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Lawrence "Larry" Buechler, 85, of Stephenson, MI., passed away Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born Aug. 15, 1931 in Adell, to the late Julius and Netty (Berglin) Buechler, he served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged on Jan. 14, 1960. He married Dolores Johnson in New Berlin on Oct. 12, 1957 and she preceded him in death on July 18, 2006.
He was the Chief Engineer for Milwaukee Valve for many years and drove school bus for the Stephenson School District for 10 years. An avid Packers fan, he enjoyed hunting and was a member of VFW Post 5966 of Stephenson.
Survivors include two sons, Ken (Lori) of Stephenson, Mi. and Dave (Donna) of Daggett, Mi.; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Lorraine Broske and a sister-in-law, Audrey Johnson of Jamestown, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family received friends at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson on Tuesday, Aug. 15 from 4 p.m. until time of Military Rites at 6 p.m. Burial was in Bethesda Cemetery in Daggett.
