John W. Lukszys
John W. Lukszys, 74, of Marinette passed away Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at home with family by his side.
Born Sept. 1, 1942, to the late John and Elsie Lukszys in Milwaukee, he graduated from Bayview High School in Milwaukee and served in the United States Marine Corp 96th Rifle Co from 1963-1969. He worked at Ladish Co. in Cudahy, retiring after 34 years. He married the former Nancy Cummings Nerat on April 12, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nv.
He was an active member of the Moose Lodge #2327 in Marinette and enjoyed casinos, card playing, camping and time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; a son, Mark Lukszys; a daughter, Wendy Lukszys; a step-son, Terry Nerat; a step-daughter, Tracy (Tim) Nerat-Tointon; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter and a sister, Betty Orwick.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joan.
Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home in Marinette on Thursday, Aug. 17 from 4 p.m. until time of a service at 6 p.m., performed by the Moose Lodge. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
