THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Elizabeth "Betty" (Bousley) Erickson, 93, of Amberg, passed away Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017.
Born in Goodman in 1924, to the late Agnes and Alfred Bousley, she married Erick Erickson in 1943 and they were together for 39 years, raising four of their seven children in Amberg. She worked at the Goodman Mill for 10 years and became a full time homemaker when she was widowed in 1982.
She enjoyed the outdoors, puzzles, cards, cooking and baking butter buns. She loved visits from all her grandchildren, getting fun family photos and Christmas cards in the mail, but especially traveling. She was a woman, mother and friend to all those she knew.
She is survived by four sons, Eric (Mary), Texas, Michael (Shannon), Green Bay, Timothy, Amberg and Andrew Minnesota; three daughters, Elizabeth Erickson, Amberg, Deby (Steve) Stumbris, Wausaukee and Faye Erickson, Little Chute; 15 grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Erick and 13 brothers and sisters.
A private family service will be held at Goodman Cemetery. Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home of Crivitz is assisting the family with arrangements.
