Village Sets Halloween Trick or Treat Hours
Wausaukee-The Wausaukee Village Board at a meeting on Monday, Aug. 21 voted to set Halloween trick or treat hours for Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The board also discussed a request from the Wausaukee Business Association for the village to purchase and install brackets for banners on its light poles. This would be part of a plan by the Wausaukee Business Association to put up different banners three times a year, with advertising from local businesses covering the cost of the actual banners. However, the board felt more clarification of logistical issues is needed before they can take action.
Board members also discussed hiring a contractor to do some exploratory test well drilling, but the issue was tabled until a special meeting can be held to discuss the possibility of hiring an engineering firm for the project.
During his report, President Hilbert "Slug" Radtke reminded everyone that parking on Main Street during the Marinette County Fair is illegal.
The board scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 10 a.m. and a Water & Sewer Committee meeting for Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 6 p.m.
