Leonard G. Tanguay
Leonard G. Tanguay, 80, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born April 26, 1937, to the late George and Josephine (Nerat) Tanguay in Menominee, he served in the United States Marines until honorably discharged in 1956. On Dec. 4, 1965, he married Annette Geist in Menominee.
A hard worker, he was a carpenter and manufacturer in both Michigan and California. He enjoyed watching the Packers, listening to the Maroon's games and being outdoors. He loved time with family, get togethers with extended family and took the early deaths of his parents very hard.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Annette Tanguay of Menominee; children, Robert (Shari) Tanguay of Corvallis Or. and Tina (Darren) Tanguay-Hill of Phelan, Ca.; three step-children, Jeff (Meryl) Everson of Union Grove, John Everson of Stephenson and Julie (Dan) Munch of Menominee; two brothers, Donald (Sue) Tanguay of Menominee and Richard (Karon) Tanguay of Hemet, Ca.; nine grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Rick Everson and a sister, Joyce (Jim) Noha.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Harbors, 1110 10th Ave in Menominee on the 4th floor on Thursday, Aug. 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home of Menominee is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials can be directed to a family member.
