Marie I. (Wanapiha) Crocker, 82, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017 at the Luther Home.
Born Aug. 10, 1935 in Calumet, MIi., to the late Einar and Gertrude (Kangas) Wanapiha, she married Daniel Crocker in Calumet, Mi. on May 21, 1955. She was a homemaker and then worked as Office Manager for Dr. Beldo.
An excellent baker, known as Betty Crocker to her family and friends, she enjoyed sewing club, camping in her younger years, traveled to all 50 states, was a leader for the Camp Scout Girls, Cub Scout Den Mother and was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel of Menominee; two daughters, Lynne (Sam) Sheldon of Menominee and Lisa (Patrick) Melman of Appleton; two sons, Dale (Kelly) of Green Bay and Bruce (Sue) of Hamden, Ct.; nine grandchildren and two sisters, Beatrice (Dennis) Herrick and Barbara (Lewis) Camp.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Robbie and a sister.
Family received friends at Anderson Kell Funeral Home in Menominee on Sunday, Sept. 10 from 2 p.m. until time of a Prayer Service at 5 p.m. Visitation continued on Monday, Sept. 11 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. Mark Laatsch officiated with burial in Riverside Cemetery.
