THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Ashley R. Hash-Havelka
Issue Date: September 13, 2017
Ashley Rose Hash-Havelka, 31, of Menominee, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017 of natural causes in her sleep.
Born May 6, 1986 in Marinette, to Brian T. Havelka Sr. and Nora L. Grandaw,
she was a caring person, putting others ahead of herself and was proud to work as a caregiver for disabled people.
Her love of nature showed in her beautiful photos, drawings, and poems. Where others saw fault, she saw hope, which brought her to enjoy her last months with family, her dog and doing what she loved.
She believed the spiritual world would give her peace from a disease she fought for many years. She fought hard and courageously every day. She was as complex and beautiful as Mother Nature herself and will be forever remembered.
She is survived by both parents, Brian T. Havelka Sr. and Nora L. Grandaw; her step-mother, Deborah Bell; two children, Francis and Elizabeth; a brother, Brian T. Havelka Jr. (Stephanie Miller); grandparents, Stanley and Marilyn Havelka; aunts; uncles; cousins and Cathy, Niya, and Evan.
A Celebration of Life was held at the pavilion at Menominee County River Park in Wallace, Mi. on Saturday, Sept. 9 from noon until 4 p.m. Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home of Menominee assisted the family.
