THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
William R. Philipps
Issue Date: September 13, 2017
William R. "Billy" Philipps, 36, of Green Bay, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital from injuries sustained in a tragic fall.
He loved life, no matter what the circumstances, always had a smile or a sly smirk, had a big heart, loved his family and friends unconditionally and did anything to help if needed.
He enjoyed fishing, was a good gardener, loved to cook and was a good chef, although he and his mom had different opinions as to "who's recipe was best". He loved to play pool with his dad, who gave him lessons until he started beating him and then the lessons stopped. One of his favorite pastimes was running the trails with the ATV's and mud running through big puddles with his dad and brother.
He is survived by his parents, Barb and Pat Elias; a daughter, Toriana and a brother, Blake, all from Wausaukee; his grandmothers, Shirley Philipps and Lenore Elias; many aunts; uncles; cousins and lots of amazing friends that helped and supported him throughout his years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard "Ricky" and his grandparents, Marvin Philipps, Goldie Walton and Mike Elias.
A casual visitation gathering to celebrate his life was held at Roubal Funeral Home in Wausaukee on Sunday, Sept. 10 from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral services at 1 p.m., followed by a luncheon at the Bullpen in Athelstane.
