THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Replace Flag at New Care Assisted Living
Issue Date: September 20, 2017
Under bright blue skies and a light breeze, residents of the New Care Convalescent Center in Crivitz watched as Commander Jerry Swanson and Adjutant Larry Lundburg of Crivitz VFW Post 2063 replaced the American flag in front of their facility. The flag was replaced in the spring of 2016 but was showing the effects of last winter and a summer of severe weather. The flag was torn and faded, and according to proper flag etiquette, needed to be replaced.
The old flag will be properly disposed of by the American Legion. All people who fly a flag are reminded that if their flag is in bad condition, they can put it in the blue mail box in front of the VFW/American Legion headquarters building on Hwy. 141.
New flags may be purchased by contacting either Commander Swanson, 715-854-2129 or Adjutant Lundberg, 715-854-2672. The flags are made in America, have embroidered stars and sewn stripes, and comes in three sizes, 3'x5', 4'x6', and 5'x8'. Prices range from $20 to $40.
