Violet T. (Noll) Foat, 89, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017 at home.
Born Feb. 9, 1928 in Milwaukee, to the late John and Hilda (Kroner) Noll, she married Lester Foat in Stevens Point on May 24, 1947 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 1993. She worked at Generac Corporation and Amron Corporation in Waukesha for several years before moving to Menominee, where she enjoyed taking care of children.
A member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, she enjoyed singing and dancing to country music, watching baseball and playing bingo with friends at Interfaith Manor.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Chowinski of Milwaukee; a son, Richard (Aurora) Foat of Menominee; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two step-great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Lester; four sisters, Helen Wheelen, Arlene Hatsfield, Dorothy Woyak and Shirley Gabert; four brothers, Elmer, Clarence, Richard and Robert Noll; a granddaughter, Ann Marie Foat and a step-granddaughter, Ethelyn Mendola.
Visitation took place at Anderson Kell Funeral Home in Menominee on Sunday, Sept. 17 from 3 p.m. until time of a Vigil Prayer Service at 5 p.m. with Fr. Mark McQuesten presiding. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, Sept. 18 at 10 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Fr. McQuesten presiding, followed by burial in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
