Roman A. Gipp
Roman A. Gipp, 88, of Green Bay, formerly of Suring, passed away Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017.
Born July 7, 1929, to the late Henry and Rose (Schuettpelz) Gipp, he married Edna Quandt at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Breed on June 3, 1950. He served in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1954.
While living in Seymour, he was a member of the American Legion Post 106 there and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of almost 68 years, Edna; two daughters, Sandy (Gary) Mahne and Patty (Paul) Butenhoff; a son, Rick Gipp; three granddaughters; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Randy Gipp; a brother and two sisters.
Visitation will be held at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1731 St. Agnes Drive, Green Bay on Thursday, Sept. 21 from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. Scott Malme will officiate, followed by Military Honors. Burial will be in Breed Union Cemetery in Suring. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home of Suring is assisting the family with arrangements. A memorial fund has been established.
