Darlene K. Bruette, 67, of Oregon, Wi., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017 at UW-Hospital in Madison.
Born Sept. 13, 1950, to Harold and Evelyn (Boulac) Behling, she married her high school sweetheart, John M. Bruette, on Aug. 14, 1971. Their long awaited son, Michael John, was born in July of 1984.
She worked for 29 years in various positions at the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection and was an election official for the Village of Oregon.
She loved to read, enjoyed traveling, and a casual visit to the casino. She volunteered as a Sunday School teacher, helped with grade school projects, was blood drive coordinator and food pantry volunteer and coordinator.
She is survived by her husband, John; a son, Michael (Brittany Wagner); three grandchildren; two brothers, Stephen (Judy) Behling, Marinette and Larry (Bonnie) Behling, Peshtigo; a sister, Wanda Behling; a brother-in-law, Steven Mouty; a sister-in-law, Bonita Behling and many relatives and friends.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Roger and Alan Behling; a sister, Yvonne (Behling) Steier and a brother-in-law, William Steier.
