THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Jason Zimdars (JZ), 43, of Montrose, Co., passed away Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 in his sleep.
Born June 27, 1974, to John and Betty (Kitzman) Zimdars, he graduated from Bay Port High School and attended Fox Valley Technical College. He lived life to the fullest.
He hunted the mountains of Montana, Wyoming and Colorado, rafted the Colorado River with friends, camped along mountain streams and skied the mountains at Vail, Beaver Creek, Telluride and Crested Butte.
He is survived by his wife, Kate Mohler Zimdars, Montrose, Co.; his parents, John and Betty Zimdars, Townsend; a brother, Lance (Carrie) Zimdars, Green Bay; two nephews; his mother-in-law, Penny Mohler, Lexington, Va. his grandmother, Erma Talley, Mountain and special aunt and uncle, Juli and John Guyette, Green Bay.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Rose Kitzman, Eleanor and Harry Zimdars and Floyd Talley.
Visitation was held on Friday, Sept. 22 at St. John Lutheran Church in Townsend from 9 a.m. until time of services at noon. Pastor Stephen Mueller officiated with interment in Forest Hill Cemetery in Townsend. Weber Hill Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
