Virginia (Voelker) Geske, 80, passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017.
Born in 1937 on her grandparents' farm in Spruce, to Stella (Pashek) and Henry Voelker, she spent her early years in Milwaukee before moving to Klondike, where her father purchased a farm. She attended both Coleman and Oconto high schools.
She moved to Two Rivers and worked as a typist at the Hamilton Manufacturing Company, where she met her future husband, Marion Geske and they married in 1958. In 1972 they moved to California when she accepted a new job.
After raising her daughters, she returned to the workforce and held many jobs over the years. She discovered her calling when she enrolled in Cosmetology school and became both a stylist and teacher. The couple retired to Fairield, Ca.
A proud grandmother of two grandchildren, she supported them in their lives and loved them deeply.
She is survived by two daughters, Lynn Geske-Morgan (Jose Morgan) and Peg Papoe (James Papoe, deceased); two grandchildren; a sister, Pat Monroe (Mike Monroe, deceased); a brother, Dan (Pat) Voelker and John (Marsha) Voelker and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion.
Funeral services were held at Holy Spirit Church in Fairfield, Ca. on Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Private burial will be held at a later date.
