Lew R. Good, 92, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 at the Harbors Retirement Community in Menominee, Mi.
Born Jan. 2, 1925, to Ludwig and Minnie Menke Good, he was a longtime resident of Forest Park, Ill., where he was a police officer for 28 years, retiring in 1975 as Chief of Police. Upon retirement, he worked for Perolator Loomis Security in Florida. He enjoyed model railroading, quilting and singing in church.
He is survived by his wife, Vollie Hayward-Good; two daughters, Jinny Good DeMilio and Sharon Good; two sons, Daniel Good and Timothy (Kathy) Good; Vollie's daughter, Nancy (Paul) Neumann; his first wifes' cousin, Richard (Bobbie) Theriault; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Whistler; his first wife, Virginia Jacobson Good; his second wife, Evelyn Coudoux Good and a daughter, Karen Good.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017 at United Methodist Church in Stephenson, Mi. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 11 a.m., followed by a lunch. Burial will be in the family plot in Mount Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, Ill., with a small family service. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home of Stephenson is assisting the family with arrangements.
