Dennis L. Breed, 71, of Abrams, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017.
Born Jan. 2, 1946 in Anamosa, Ia., to Russell and Emma (Petersen) Beppler, he married Sandy Resheske on April 4, 1970. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War for one year.
He worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Georgia Pacific for over 30 years and enjoyed hiking with his children, camping, canoeing, golfing and time at the cabin.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Breed, Abrams; his mother, Emma Beppler, Nekoosa; two sons, Greg Breed, Al. and Matt Breed, Arizona; a sister, Vicki Beppler, Nekoosa; a brother, John (Ann) Beppler, Port Washington; sisters-in-law, Pam (Brian) Ludolph, Prairie du Sac and Dorothy Resheske, Nekoosa; two brothers-in-law, Pat (Judy) Resheske, Nekoosa and Bill (Barb) Resheske, Iron River and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Bepplerand a sister, Susie Breed.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 316 Buehler Ave., Nekoosa on Thursday, Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. until time of the Memorial Services at 11 a.m., with Pat Resheske. Memorials can be made to the Nekoosa Chess Club. Gallagher Funeral Home of Oconto is assisting the family with arrangements.
