Santa will be the last entry in the parade and will continue down to the Stephenson Public Library for an afternoon of visiting, photographing and reading to the children, with his specially assigned Elf Shelley. Librarians will assist the children at a Holiday Craft Table with a specially chosen theme. Refreshments will be served by "Friends of The Library" and entertainment provided by First Street Academy of Dance. This event will go from 2 pm to 4 pm. At approximately 4:30 pm, Santa, Mrs. Claus, Elf Shelley and Mayor Genisot will walk across the Stephenson Island foot bridge to "light" up the Island for the Christmas Season. The Salvation Army, with Major Carol and/or Ron Lemirand will present the "first" bell of Christmas and distribute miniature bells to the children so that they may be rung. Carolers and any other choirs, church or youth groups are invited to lead the singing during the short ceremony. Culligan will provide hot chocolate.
