Town Wausaukee Sets $449,623 Tax Levy

Wausaukee-The Town Of Wausaukee annual public budget meeting was held Nov. 14 at 7 PM at the Wausaukee Town Hall.
Members present were Chairman Jeff Engelmann, Supervisor 1 Bob Jicha, Supervisor 4 Dennis Taylor, Clerk Cheryl Stumbris, and Treasurer Celeste Hultquist. Supervisor 2 Dave Tomasino, Supervisor 3 Kurt Stumbris were absent. Others present were Bob Wesolowski, George & Nancy Danner, Howard and Nancy Shanks, Jim Brien, Jack Zore, and Mike Carroll.
Chairman Engelmann presided and reviewed the 2018 proposed budget. Bob Wesolowski made a motion to set the Town levy at $449,623 with highway expenditures at $483,352.50 and total expenditures of $722,123.
The Town Board meeting followed. Agenda and minutes were approved.
Financial Report balance of Oct. 31 were approved with checking $19,001.91and money market general account $366,513.70. The report was accepted and vouchers ordered paid.
Jim Brien gave update on Wausaukee Rescue Squad 2018 contract, election hardware service agreement 2018 was accepted. Engelmann made a motion to increase road workers wages $1 per hour beginning Jan.1. Jicha motiond to increase recycling attendants wage $1 per hour beginning Jan.1.
Clerk distributed information regarding Planning Update from the Wisconsin DNR and Invitation to Chart the Future of NWTC.
