Kathleen E. Selby, 84, of Marinette, passed away Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born June 30, 1933 in Billings, Mont., to Charles and Catharine (Bean) Edwards, she spent her early life in Billings, graduating from high school there. She earned a bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Denver and later a master's degree from Central Michigan University.
In August of 1955, she married William Selby, having first met in high school while in Billings and they resided in California, Washington State, Colorado and western Wisconsin, before coming to Peshtigo in 1971. For many years, she taught at Peshtigo Elementary School until her retirement.
A member of Peshtigo United Methodist Church and Rotary Club, she served on the Peshtigo City Council, Marinette County Library Board and was a charter member of Chapter CX, PEO Sisterhood. She was an avid bridge player and loved the game.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen (Keith) Falls and Mary Arvanites; a son, Scott (Meghan) Selby and five grandchildren.
Her husband, William preceded her in death.
Friends called at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette on Friday, Nov. 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A private family Memorial Service will be held at a later time.
