Floyd W. Herson, 74, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Green Bay, surrounded by family.
Born March 24, 1943 in Menominee, to the late Floyd and Dorothy (Parrette) Herson, he married the former Norma Gilbert there on June 16, 1962 and she preceded him in death on June 22, 2010. He was a firefighter for the City of Menominee, became Captain and retired in 1993 after 31 years.
He enjoyed cards, fishing and going to camp and the Green Bay Packers, but his greatest love was spending time with family.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy (Rodney) Klann of Marinette and Sam Roeder of DePere; a son, Jim (Jamie) Herson of Menominee; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie (Jan) LeBoeuf and Deb (Bill) Wilke, both of Menominee and his buddy, Ray.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Ann Herson.
Visitation was held at Anderson Kell Funeral Home in Menominee on Monday Nov. 27 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 10 a.m.
