James Douglas Kohn, 66, Crivitz resident, passed away on Sunday, December 3rd, 2017 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
"Jim" was born on July 11, 1951 to parents, James Marlin Kohn and Joan Rose (Neustaedter) Kohn in Cecil, Wisconsin. He moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin early on and was a graduate of Custer High School and also attended college in Arizona and North Carolina. He married Claudia Margaret (Osswald) Kohn on September 20, 1975.
An avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman, he moved his family up to Crivitz, Wisconsin where he built his family a home. Jim was a loyal employee of KI in Green Bay as well and thanks them for their compassion after his diagnosis.
Jim is survived by his wife, Claudia; sister, Kathy (Kohn) Dich, as well as his children Nicholas James Kohn and Tanya Jean (Kohn) Jensen. He was a dear "Opa" to his grandchildren, Grace Margaret Jensen, Lyla Rose Jensen, Lindsay Lynne Kohn, Corbin James Kohn and Jayce Jonathan Kohn, as well as nieces; nephews; in-laws; close friends and beloved dog, Buddy.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Kohn, as well as his parents. Our family expresses gratitude to his Bellin Cancer Care team, Unity Hospice and NEW Care for their "top notch" and compassionate care at the end of his life.
Family greeted relatives and friends at Grace Lutheran Church in Crivitz, Wisconsin Wednesday, December 6th, 2017 from 9 a.m. until time of the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Rev. Jonathan Zietlow officiated and burial service was in Forest Home Cemetery. Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home of Crivtz assisted the family with arrangements.
