John R. England, 72, of Pulaski, passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017 with family by his side.
Born March 6, 1945 in Peshtigo, to the late Russell and Lois (Bair) England, after graduation, he moved to Chicago to attend trade school where he met the love of his life, Joan Bonthron. They married there on Feb. 13, 1965 and shortly after moved to Green Bay where they raised their family. They recently celebrated 52 years of marriage.
He was a self-employed truck driver and retired in 2002. He enjoyed fishing from his boat, spoiling his pets and listening to the Chicago Cubs games, but mostly loved time with his family and creating new memories with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; a son, Michael (Leda) England; a daughter, Doreen (Ken) Kluth; four grandchildren; three brothers, Charles (Joann) England, Sidney (Julie) England and Allen (Karen) England; two sisters, Nancy (Ken) Rosenthal and Susan (Charles) Kupchik; a sister-in-law, Judy England; a brother-in-law, William Bonthron; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Glen, Don and David England and a sister, Judy Perry.
A Celebration of Life was held at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Howard-Suamico location on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. Donations can be made to Unity Hospice and/or Good Shepherd Services.
