Donald "Don" Dufresne, 86, of Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017 at his home.
Born Feb. 27, 1931 in Marinette, to Webster and Marcella (Duchaine) Dufresne, he graduated from Marinette High School and served in the United States Navy from 1950-1954 on the U.S.S. Ingraham DD694 during the Korean War.
On Nov. 5, 1954, he married Ellen Gray in La Crosse and worked for Valley Engraving, retiring after 30 years. He then worked at NWTC in the graphics department, retiring in 2016.
He kept busy and enjoyed working in his yards, having a cup of coffee and watching the Brewers and Packers.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ellen; four sons, Michael Dufresne, Stephen (Gertudez) Dufresne, Dennis Dufresne and William (Vickie) Dufresne Sr.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a brother, Fred Dufresne.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack (Shirley) Dufresne and a sister-in-law, Ursula Dufresne.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., Green Bay on Wednesday, Dec. 27 from 4 p.m. until time of a Parish Wake Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 28 from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 10 a.m.
