Kenneth W. Engebretsen, 84, passed away Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017 after a battle with Alzheimer's.
Born Dec. 11, 1933, to the late William and Birdie (Bean) Engebretsen in Green Bay, he attended West High School and served in the United States Navy for four years from 1952-1956. He married Anna Marie Lentz on Oct. 27, 1956. He drove stock cars in the 60's and served on the Little Suamico Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Anna; a daughter, Debbie (Don) Exferd; a son, Brian (Sunny) Engebretsen; 12 grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Guseck; a brother, Don Engebretsen; five sisters-in-law, Shirley (Marcel) Seymour, Carol Stark, Mary Lou Lentz, Karlene (Russell) Martens and Karen (Jerry) Korpi.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Louis and Mary Lentz; a daughter, Doreen Gruszynski; a brother, William Keith Engebretsen; a sister, June Kramer; three grandchildren, Chad Selissen, Derrick and Kevin Gruszynski; three sisters-in-law, Laverna Webber, Joyce Olson and Betty Engebretsen; two brothers-in-law, Jack Stark and Ervin Guseck and a niece, Brenda Kreuser.
Family and friends may call at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, Green Bay on Thursday, Jan. 4 from 1 p.m. until time of a funeral service at 3 p.m. with Pastor Joel Brassfield officiating.
