Wallace Eugene "Gene" Utter, 82, of Green Bay, passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018.
Born April 7, 1935 in Marinette, to Wallace Monroe and Evelyn Frances (Lane) Utter, he served in the United States Army and worked at Murphy Supply for 26 years, later retiring from Mid-State Supply.
A lifelong member of Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, he looked forward to Tuesday morning breakfast with the Men's Bible Study.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Virginia; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Utter, Suamico; a son-in-law, Lee Pamperin, Green Bay; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Douglas Utter and Pamela Pamperin.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., Green Bay on Thursday, Jan. 11 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1350 Bond St., Green Bay on Friday, Jan. 12 from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. Brian Staude will officiate with burial in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
