Paul H. Stibbe, 79, of De Pere, passed away Thursday evening, Jan. 4, 2018 with family by his side.
Born July 26, 1938 in Peshtigo, to the late Ervin and Anna (Kopplin) Stibbe, he graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1956 and then earned a degree in in Mechanical Engineering in 1961 at UW-Madison.
On Sept. 3, 1960, he married his high school sweetheart, Genevieve Turza in Peshtigo. He used his degree to design tractors, spent most of his career at Tec Systems and ASI and ended employment at Thermo Electron.
An avid Badger fan, gun enthusiast and history buff, he enjoyed reading, going to the gun range with friends and building model airplanes, but mostly loved traveling and camping with family.
He is survived by his wife, Genevieve; four children, Sue (Tony) Marold, David Stibbe, Mary (Bill) Johnson and Paula Stibbe; seven grandchildren; a brother, Karl (Pat) Stibbe and a sister-in-law Anna Lavallee.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, John and Mary (Drong) Turza; two brothers-in-law, Edward Turza and John Turza Jr.
Family and friends may visit at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2066 Lawrence Drive, De Pere on Friday, Jan. 12 from 1 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m., with Rev. Dr. John Parlow officiating. Burial will be in Peshtigo Riverside Cemetery in late Spring. Memorials to St. Mark Church are appreciated. Ryan Funeral Home of De Pere is assisting the family with arrangements.
