Sarah Ann (Birr) Rust, 29, of Pulaski, passed away in her sleep Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018.
Born Aug. 22, 1988 in Morgan, to Gary and Julie (Wegrzyn) Birr, she graduated from Pulaski High School in 2007 and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Norbert College in 2010.
She met Michael Rust when they were both working at JCPenney in Green Bay and the rest was history. They married Sept. 25, 2010 at St. Casimir Church in Krakow and they lived in Pulaski for the past three years. She worked for the Village of Pulaski in the Police Department until 2014.
She loved ducks and had a large collection. Together they enjoyed going to Door County, just spending time together and were inseparable. She had fun selling LuLaRoe and Paparazzi Jewelry.
Survivors include her husband, Michael; her parents, Gary and Julie Birr; paternal grandparents, Donald and Helen Birr, Oconto Falls; maternal grandmother, Alice Wegrzyn, Seymour; Godparents, Norman Birr and Donna Gerndt; father-in-law, Robert Rust, Yuba City, Ca.; mother-in-law, Marlene Rust, Green Bay; aunts and uncles, Tom (Brenda) Wegrzyn, Rancho Cordova, Ca., Marsha (Steve) Laurent, Green Bay, Donna (Bill) Gerndt, DePere, Ruth Longsine, Pulaski and Norman Birr and Tim (Tammy) Birr, both of Oconto Falls; many cousins; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two unborn children and her maternal grandfather, Joseph Wegrzyn.
Friends called at Assumption B.V.M. Church in Pulaski on Sunday, Feb. 4 from 2 p.m. until time of a Wake Service at 5 p.m. Visitation continued at the Church on Monday, Feb. 5 from 9:30 a.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Fr. James Esser, O.F.M. presided with Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski, O.F.M. concelebrating. Entombment took place in Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.
