William W. Woodward, 73, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018 at home surrounded by family.
Born May 5, 1944 in Waukegan, Ill., to the late Arthur and Rose (Paukner) Woodward, he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. On Nov. 25, 1983, he married Rose Schemer in Menominee and worked at Emerson Electric and Anchor Coupling.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.
He is survived by his wife Rose, of Menominee; three step-children Steven (Linda) Crossman and Sandra Crossman, both of Menominee and Michael Crossman of Wallace, Mi.; 14 step-grandchildren; 27 step-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Walter (Betty), Donald and Paul Woodward; four sisters, Edna (Dale) Dubrow, Gloria (Robert) Springer, Mary (Homer) Randal and Edith Woodward and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur Jr. and Alfred Woodward and three sisters, Grace Benson and Annie and Helen Woodward.
Visitation was held at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson on Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 10 a.m. until time of Military Honors by the Stephenson American Legion at noon, followed by a funeral service. Burial will be in Mellen Township Cemetery in the Spring.
