Karen M. Havelka, 75, of Wallace, Mi., passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the Luther Home.
Born Jan. 14, 1943, to the late Douglas and Christine (Thompson) Kornetzke in Marinette, she graduated from Marinette High School in 1961 and worked at Stephenson National Bank for a few years and also sold Avon. On April 5, 1971, she married Carl Havelka at First Presbyterian Church.
She enjoyed breakfast with friends on Fridays, flower gardening, bird watching and her pets, but especially loved time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Carl Halvelka of Wallace; a son, Mark (Rochelle) Sundstrom of Stephenson; a daughter, Melody (Dennis) Linsmeier of Wallace; a brother, Douglas (Cindy) Kornetzke of Madison; two sisters, Judith Shane-Bayer of Waukesha and Kathy (Nick) Willow of Kewaunee; two granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
Visitation will be held at Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home on Thursday, March 15 from 4 p.m. until time of the Memorial Services at 6 p.m., with Pastor Jon Nelson officiating.
