Violet D. Haight, 92, of Nadeau passed away Wednesday March 14, 2018 at Rennes Health Care Center-West in Peshtigo.
Born May 28, 1925, the youngest child of Ernest and Flora (Christian) Laurin, she married Lloyd Haight on March 25, 1944. They lived in Norfolk, Va. when he was in the United States Navy until moving to Nadeau.
A lifelong member of St. Bruno Parish, she was an active member of St. Anne Society, was a Eucharistic Minister and a Minister to the homebound.
She loved God, the Bible and her Rosary, but most important was her family. She will be remembered for noisy and fun filled Christmas gatherings at her home that she lived in for 65 years.
She is survived by four children, Ernie (Betsy) of Nadeau, Mary Jo (Bob) Campana of Reedsville, Gil (Cheryl) of Little Suamico and Rob (Vivian) of Marinette; a daughter-in-law, Laurie Haight of Wallace; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; a son, Jim and a daughter-in-law, Tillie.
Visitation was held at St. Bruno Catholic Church in Nadeau on Saturday, March 17 from 9 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with Fr. Jacek Wtyklo officiating. Burial was in Nadeau Township Cemetery. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home of Stephenson assisted the family with arrangements.
