THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Seek Funds for Crivitz Playground Improvement
Issue Date: May 3, 2018
The Crivitz Playground Committee joined the Crivitz Area Partnership, a committee established at the M&M Area Community Foundation, to raise money for a new playground structure and upgrades to the surrounding area. Members of the Crivitz Playground Committee are Rachel Zietlow, Jeff Walsh, Tom White, Ocean Sikowski, Megan Sullivan, Lynelle Caine and Jenny Gehm.
The Crivitz Elementary/Middle School playground is out-of-date and must be replaced with a new structure, which includes accessible features for children with special needs. The current structure is used daily by over 300 children during their school day and is also used after hours by children in the community.
The Crivitz School District is committed to funding a portion of the playground, however, with competing needs the District is unable to finance the entire project. Over the past year, the Playground Committee has been fundraising for this project and pursuing grant funding. Now they are seeking contributions from community members. Contributions of any size are needed, are tax deductible and will be 100% applied for the new playground structure and surrounding area.
