JanetLee "Janet" M. (Johnson) Mickel, 59, of Oconto, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 after a long battle with cancer.
Born April 30, 1959 in Green Bay, to Richard and Viola (Charles) Johnson, she was the oldest of 10 children and graduated from West De Pere High School. She worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant and a cab driver.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, car shows, crocheting and traveling, but mostly loved time with family and caring for her cats. She was known for her caring for others.
She is survived by her partner, Gary Nejedlo; her mother, Viola (step-father, Orvis Jr. "Al") Resler; siblings, Jacky (Duran) Schroeder, Debbie Denny, Ronald Johnson, Barbara Frank (boyfriend, Ron), Roger (Tammy) Johnson, Kathy Johnson (boyfriend, Gerald), Candy Cleven (friend, Rich), Karen Williams and Bradley Johnson (girlfriend, Michelle); a Godson, Bo White and many nieces; nephews; other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard; her husband, Scott Mickel; a brother-in-law, Robert Denny and a nephew, Shawn Frank.
Family and friends may visit at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere on Wednesday, May 9 from 4 p.m. until time of a Prayer Service at 7 p.m.
