Town Wausaukee Lists Committees Retained

Wausaukee-At the Wausaukee Town Board meeting on May 8, Supervisor Bob Jicha made a motion to retain Committees from 2017 to 2018. They are Fire Dept-Bob Flaws/Jeff Engelmann; Recycling-Dave Tomasino/Kurt Stumbris; Park-Bob Wesolowski/Bob Jicha/David Tomasino; Dog Catcher-Chopper Dunlap/ Jeff Engelmann/Dennis Taylor; Judicial-Bob Jicha/Dennis Taylor.
Others Present were Bob Wesolowski, Chopper Dunlap, Christopher Grove, Jerry Pillath, Keaghan Stumbris.
The agenda and minutes were approved, as was the Financial Report of April 30. Checking had $36,721.89, and MM General Account $386,174.60.
Vouchers were reviewed and Jim Pickett with Rural Mutual insurance reviewed current Town Insurance and Workers Compensation policy along with answering questions.
Engelmann asked for a motion to adjourn regular meeting to Board of Review which was approved. Supervisor Tomasino made a motion to adjourn regular meeting to Board of Review rescheduled for June 30 from 8 am to 10 am; along with Open Book with the Assessor on June 23 from 9 am to 11 am.
Engelmann reviewed plan for Road construction 2018 to include 1.41 mi of Squaw Creek Rd. which would be a shared cost with Amberg; Crack filling on Pike River RD, 1st Street, Perch Lake Rd and Town Hall Parking lot; .40 mi Delsart Ln; 1.09 mi Old 38 Rd; 1.24 mi Reynolds Rd; Supervisor Jicha made a motion to accept that plan with the option of adding 1.06 mi Hwy XX if Squaw Creek Rd doesn't work and would like to get bids out for Town hall roof repair.
American Legion reports use of the Town hall for their monthly meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of the month and approved was given.
Clerk received notice from State Building Inspector that she issued permits for Single Family Homes in the Town. Permits were not applied for in the town. Town board agreed that a letter will be sent to property owners stating that they are in violation of Town of Wausaukee Building Ordinance.
The clerk will invite Kim Orlowski to the June meeting for questions and answers. Cheryl Stumbris also stated that some Property owners from Amberg/ Wausaukee Townline Road have been reporting some concerns regarding safety on that Road and the town board will review this.
She will invite Judge Jim Morrison to future meeting.
Engelmann asked for a motion to adjourn to closed session three times with no success. Clerk reviewed employee request for added compensation for Health Insurance premium and Jicha made a motion to increase Bob Dunlap's insurance allotment from $100 to $200 a month; seconded by Supervisor Taylor and carried.
