Jane A. (Elert) Gnabasik, 82, of Marinette, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette.
Born Feb. 23, 1936 in Madison, to Bernard and Stella (VanHaren) Elert, she grew up and attended school in Madison and later worked in food service at NewCare in Crivitz until her retiring in June of 2001.
She enjoyed collecting Precious Moments figurines, cooking, gardening and traveling, but most of all loved time with her grandchildren and making photo albums for them.
She is survived by three daughters, Jerilyn (Phil) Rathbun, Becky Wolf (Steve Gromoski) and Kathy (Casey) Esquibel; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Kay Elert; many nieces and nephews; a good friend, Sharon Versland and friends, Ann and Dennis from the nursing home.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Fred (Helen) Elert, James (Ann) Elert, Jerome Elert and Tommy Elert.
Friends may call at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette on Thursday, May 17 from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral services at noon. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo.
