Helen M. (Peanosky) Peterson, 86, of Marinette passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 at Rennes Health Care Center-East.
Born Jan. 4, 1932, to the late Frank and Mae (Morris) Peanosky in Menominee, Mi., she graduated from Marinette High School in 1950 and married Lloyd "Pete" Peterson on July 2, 1955 at St. Joseph's Church in Marinette.
She worked at Lundgren's Drug Store for many years and then Pranges, and Hubert's Men's Store. A devoted Catholic, she had a strong faith, was very social and enjoyed entertaining with treats and coffee always ready for friends and family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, cards, time outdoors, being in the sun, listening to music, watching Lawrence Welk and was an avid Packer fan.
She is survived by a son, Tim (Kim) Peterson of Marinette; a daughter, Carrie (John) Bezier of Merrill; a brother, Phil (Joyce) Peanosky of Menominee and five grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean May and Shirley Mumpy and two brothers, Richard and Alan Peanosky.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 2nd at Thielen Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 6 p.m. Rev. Jess Berdol will officiate with burial in Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette.
