Lois G. (Tachick) Seehawer, 86, of Athelstane, passed away Saturday July 7, 2018 surrounded by family at her home.
Born Nov. 2, 1931 in Beaver, to the late William and Helen (Shevy) Tachick, she grew up on a logging camp in Silver Cliff and attended Shady Nook School. She married Sheldon Seehawer at Athelstane Presbyterian Church in December of 1949.
She enjoyed casino trips, bingo, crocheting, gardening, tending to her outside plants, carving wood and watching the birds.
She is survived by six children, Debbie (James) Unger, Cindy (Russell) Manthei, Jack (Wendy) Seehawer, Kenny (Tammi) Seehawer, Patti (Butch) Wortner and Shelli (Craig) Derouin; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren with one on the way; two brothers, Jack (Josie) and Dick (Darlene) Tachick; a brother-in-law, Eugene Eslinger and many nieces; nephews and extended family.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sheldon; a son, Emil "Skip" three grandchildren, Chad, Jen and Sybil; a brother, Bill and a sister, Irene.
Family and friends may call at Athelstane Presbyterian Church on Thursday, July 12 from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Pastor Lin Wittmann will officiate with burial in Forest Home Cemetery in Athelstane. Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting the family with arrangements.
