Loren A. Olson, 72, of Marinette, passed away Saturday evening, July 7, 2018 at his home.
Born July 4, 1946 in Marinette, to August and Muriel Olson, he spent his early life with his family in McAllister and graduated from Wausaukee High School.
He married the former Helen Potkay on Jan. 21, 1967 and since lived in Marinette. He worked at Scott Paper Co., later Kimberly Clark for 45 years until retiring.
A skilled mechanic and master of all trades, he could fix or repair almost anything, he loved people and enjoyed socializing in the community. His knowledge of technology and computers led to networking through the internet. He was a religious man and steadfast in his faith in God.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Helen; a daughter, Melinda Olson of Marinette; a sister-in-law, Bernice Yoap, of Peshtigo; nieces, Rochelle, Sabrina and Kimberly; two great-nieces and four great-nephews.
Friends may call at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette on Wednesday, July 11 from 1 p.m. until time of the services at 3 p.m. Jerry Steenport and Bill Morring will officiate with burial in Forest Home Cemetery.
