Paul Milton Krueger, Jr., 91, of Oconto, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Sun Valley 9 Acres in Oconto.
Born May 29, 1927 in Little Suamico, to the late Paul and Edith (Meincke) Krueger Sr., he married Shirley Semrau on May 6, 1957 and she preceded him in death on June 9, 2009. He served in the United States Navy with time in Okinawa, Japan and South Korea. He worked as a Steer Master on the Great Lakes and was a self employed salesman, selling fish and seafood in a multi state region.
Known as "the Mouse Man", he played pool ever since he could see over the table and became a pool shark. He was also a championship golfer, holding titles in Oconto and Oconto Falls.
He loved hunting and in 1977 had the #7 buck in the Boon and Crocket record books. He was a member of First American Lutheran Church, Oconto, AMVETS and the VFW.
He is survived by a daughter, Julie Krueger, Little Suamico; five sons, Gary Lesperance and Jeff Krueger, both of Oconto, Bruce Krueger, Oregon, Robert Krueger and William Krueger; two sisters, Janet (Lee) Brunette and Geraldine Knee; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Paulie Krueger and four sisters, Ada, Dorothy, Clarice and Marian.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Gallagher Funeral Home in Oconto from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral services at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 13. Rev. Fred Mai will officiate with burial in Brookside Cemetery with Military Rites by all Oconto Veteran Organizations.
