Redbirds Power Past Plover 2-0

Things didn't start off great for the Marinette Redbirds early on against Plover on Friday, but they came around quickly.
Marinette fell behind 2-0 after three innings, but the Redbirds left no doubt in the final four innings to take a 12-2 win in seven.
Jordan Powers had a big day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBIs. Jason Hofer went 2-for-5 with four RBIs as well. Scott Eldredge had two runs and two RBIs on a 1-for-3 day. Jordan Rasner had a 1-for-3 day with a run and an RBI.
Austin Belonga got the win for his four innings of two-run ball. He walked four and allowed seven hits, but he was able to dance around trouble for the most part
Tommy Sawinski pitched three scoreless innings in relief, allowing two hits and a walk.
Green Bay Storm
Shuts out Redbirds
The Green Bay Storm pulled away from the Marinette Redbirds to get a 10-0 win in seven innings on Thursday, July 5.
After four innings, the Storm led 2-0. Over the next three innings, they would tack on eight more to end the game early.
Green Bay took advantage of six walks and got 10 hits, with four players adding multi-hit games.
On the mound, the Storm pitchers locked down the Redbird bats. Grant Frazier struck out five and allowed only three hits and a walk in five innings of work. Taylor Borchers finished things off with two scoreless frames.
All four of Marinette's hits came from the top of the order. Jason Hofer, JP Poweres, Chris Lafebre and Scott Eldredge had one hit apiece.
Brian Bell took the loss. He went 5 1/3 , allowing seven runs, six earned, on five hits and five walks. Two Storm batters homered off of him.
Tommy Sawinski and Blake Miller handled the remainder of the game.
