Daniel J. Secor, 51, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at his home surrounded by his wife, Collette and daughter, Heather.
Born Nov. 11, 1966, to Esther Collins (Hintz) and the late Walter (Chub) Secor, he grew up in West DePere and graduated from Crivitz High School in 1984. He joined the United States Army and served two and a half active years with a year and 11 months in Germany. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon and Marksmanship Medal and was part of the Laborer's Local 330 union for 20 years.
In 1994, he met Collette Huth and they married on July 19, 2002, celebrating almost 16 years of marriage.
He is survived by his wife, Collette; a daughter, Heather (Kevin) Kind; his mother, Esther and step-father, Bill Collins; three grandsons; siblings, Mark and Lori Smies and Don and Susan Secor; in-laws, John (Mary) Huth; a brother-in-law, John Huth, Jr.; two nieces; a nephew and many cousins; aunts; uncles; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter and a daughter, Samantha.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Plank Road Pub, 1632 Mid Valley Drive, De Pere on Saturday, Aug. 4 from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m., with military honors at 3 p.m. Ryan Funeral Home of Green Bay is assisting the family with arrangements.
