Erma Beatrice (Grosse) Shevy, 92, of Pound, passed away Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018.
Born April 10, 1926 in Pound, to Fred and Gustie (Tachick) Grosse, she married Robert Shevy on May 18, 1946 and he preceded her in death on July 5, 1996.
She enjoyed flowers, gardening, loved all children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, showed the love of God in all she did and had a special gift for helping others.
She is survived by two sons, Robert (Marcia) Shevy of Hanover, Mi. and Richard (Teri) Shevy of Coleman; three daughters, Janet Shevy and Diane (Tim) Gerharz, both of Pound and Terri Shevy of Los Angeles, Ca.; nine grandchildren; 21 one great-grandchildren; a sister, Adeline Bice; six sisters-in-law, Mabel Grosse, Helen Shevy, Millie Shevy, Deloris Vanderleest, Jane (Gayle) Minor and Margaret Brux; a brother-in-law, Marvin Shevy and many nieces and nephews.
Among her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; brothers and sisters-in-law, George (Mollie) Grosse, Art (Stella) Grosse, Elmer and Earl (Hilda) Grosse; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy (Emil) Borkowski, Violet (Emil) Swenty and Margaret (Dan) Gorski and Donald Bice. brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ray (Helen) Shevy, Dennis Shevy, Alvin Shevy, Henry Shevy, Larry Vanderleest, Phyllis Shevy, Irene Shevy and Edna (Harold) Tachick.
The family greeted relatives and friends at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home in Coleman on Monday, Aug. 20 from noon until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Tim Gerharz officiated with burial in First Baptist Cemetery in Pound.
