John R. Schuster, 77, of Greenleaf, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018 at his home from an accident.
Born Feb. 6, 1941 in Suring, to Harold and Verna Schuster, he graduated from Suring High School and went to school to be a machinist. He married Sandra A. Belongia on Oct. 13, 1962 and they had four children. They shared 55 years of marriage together.
A master scuba diver, he enjoyed the water, was an outdoor person, loved being in the woods, all animals, birds and trees, but especially his family and friends. He planted and cut down many trees.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; four children, John T. (Robie) Schuster of Greenleaf, Deborah (Robert) Goodine of Green Bay, Connie M. Tikalsky (friend, Robert) of Hilbert and Julie A. (Robert) Popp of Manona; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He is survived by four siblings, Robert Schuster of Oregon, Mary Kistenmacker of Sheboygan, Dennis (Phyllis) Schuster of Dykesville and James (Julie) Schuster of Florida; his father-in-law, Carl Johnson of Krakow; an uncle, Rev. William Stengel of Crivitz; a brother-in-law, Gene (Roz) Belongia of Oconto Falls; a sister-in-law, Rene Schabow of Oconto Falls and many dear nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary on Sunday, Sept. 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Newcomer Funeral Home of Green Bay is assisting the family with arrangements.
