Charles F. Schultz III, 57, of Lakewood, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018.
Born Jan. 31, 1961, to the late Charles Sr. and Virginia (Beronek) Schultz, he graduated from Wabeno High School where he was active in the community and worked at the St. John Lutheran Church food pantry in Townsend. He worked at Mountain Painting as Tinker's right hand man and helped at the School House Bar cleaning and setting up for events.
An avid fisherman, he enjoyed shooting pool, darts, telling jokes, making people smile and having a good time. He was an all around handy man, was willing to help anyone and loved all animals, especially his dog, Maggie.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Deana (Dee); a daughter, Amber Schultz (fiancé Eric Reinhardt); three grandchildren; five siblings, Elizabeth (Ed) Giese, Pamela (Ryan) DeKeyser, Christopher (Theresa) Schultz, Katherine Neff and Ann Sodowsky and many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene Schultz and Charles Schultz Jr. and two sisters, Elona Schultz and Charlene Nelson.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Charles on Thursday, Aug. 23 at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until time of the Memorial Service at 11 am. with interment beside his mother in Forest Home Cemetery in Townsend. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home of Suring is assisting the family with arrangements.
