Harold Hruska, 80, of East Troy, passed away Sunday, Aug. 19, surrounded by family.
Born in Menominee, Mi., he graduated from Menominee High School and met and married his wife of 49 years, Ellen Kay (Henry) in Menomonee, Wi. and they relocated to East Troy where they became longtime residents.
A member of the Waukesha Church of Christ, he was an Army Veteran, active member of the American Legion Post 188 and served as the adjutant.
He loved woodworking and gardening, especially creating new apple trees and had 38 apple trees. He taught middle school for over 30 years in the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen; two sons, Eric and Keith; a brother, Don (Jean); a sister, Joyce (Henry) Buchman; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
His parents, Theodore and Mary preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held at Legacy Funeral Services, 2974 Main St., East Troy, Wi. on Thursday, Aug. 23 from noon until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m.
