Mary Virdia (Maw) Brumbaugh, 97, of Marinette, passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018.
Born in Portland, Or., to Neal and Lillian Maw, she graduated from Oregon State College in 1943 with a Bachelor's degree in Home Economics and worked as a Home Extension agent, substitute teacher and office manager. She married Michael Brumbaugh in 1944 and he preceded her in death in 1988.
She was a volunteer with the Oregon State Grange, PTA, 4-H Clubs, the United Methodist Women and also with with many other activities and organizations.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Brumbaugh (Leonard Matecki); three step-children, Aaron (Nicole) Matecki, Shalyn Johnston and David (Whitney) Matecki; 10 step-grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at First United Methodist Church in Marinette on Thursday, Aug. 23 from 1 p.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Kevin Dembinski officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held in Oregon later in October.
