Robert Grant Hamm, 82, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018 at Aurora BayCare Hospital in Green Bay.
Born Feb. 8, 1936 in Iron Mountain, Mi., to the late Dr. Grant and Gertrude (Genisse) Hamm, he graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1954 and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Michigan University. He served in the United States Marines during the Korean War and married the former Mary Susan Kelly on Sept. 7, 1957 in Niagara.
A member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the VFW Post 1887, he enjoyed fishing.
Along with his wife, Mary Sue, he is survived by four daughters, Mary (Mike) Babinec, Lynn (John) Redash, Colleen (Mike) Kirchberg and Roberta (Allen) Rubin; two sons, Tom (Stacee) and David (Heidi) Hamm; nine grandchildren; a sister, Pat Woodruff; a brother, Jack (Dorisa) Hamm and other family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Susan and Nancy Hamm; two sons, Mark and John Hamm and a sister, Mary Pastori.
Visitation will take place at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee on Wednesday, Aug. 29 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by Military Honors conducted by the United States Marine Corps and Military 20 Year Club. Funeral services will follow with Deacon Steve Gretzinger officiating. A memorial fund has been established in his name and expressions can be directed to Cadieu Funeral Home.
