Johnnie (John) Lynn Dietrich, 65, of Marinette, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018 at his home.
Born Jan. 24, 1953 in Marinette, to James and Beatrice (Hill) Dietrich, he grew up in the area and graduated from Wausaukee High School. He later attended NWTC in Marinette and served in the United States Navy during Vietnam aboard the USS Peoria.
He worked most his life as an over the road truck driver and married Diane Vohwinkle of Menominee in 1986 in Marinette. They lived in Green Bay for most of their life, before returning to Marinette five years ago.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed being in the woods or on the water, but mostly loved time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; a son, Justin (Krystal) of Green Bay; a daughter, Taylor (Justin) Neeper of Lake City, Pa.; three grandchildren; his mother, Beatrice Dietrich; three sisters, Jeanette Paul, Janice Heagle and Joei Garrigan and two brothers, Tom Dietrich and Jim Dietrich.
He was preceded in death by his father, James A. Dietrich; a brother, Jeffrey Dietrich and a sister, Jeanie Thompson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family.
