Regionals Begin Tuesday As Season Wraps Up



Crivitz Takes Win

Over tough Oneida


The Crivitz Wolverine volleyball team took a quick three set win over the hosting Oneida Nation Thunderhawks Thursday night, 25-11, 25-22 and 25-20.

For the Thunderhawks Leida Rodriguez got five kills and a dig. Mercedes Ackley amassed 12 digs while Iselena Torres added up 10 assists, four digs and an ace.

Chloe Gruszynski tallied up 11 kills, seven digs, one assist, a block and two aces for the Wolverines. Emalee Johnsen posted eight kills, four digs, a block and two aces while Morgan Gyger added on four kills, 12 digs, one assist and three aces. Paige Nelsen finished the game with 23 assists, four digs and a kill.



Suring Drops

STAA in Three


The St. Thomas Aquinas Cavaliers hosted Suring in a Senior Night loss. Falling in three hard fought games 21-25, 18-25, 23-25.  

STAA was led by it seniors Kianna Bulin with 10 kills and 4 aces, Alexis Pristelski, 5 blocks and Lefebvre's 4 digs.



Gillett

Defeats Lena


The Gillett Tigers took down the hosting Lena Wildcats in four sets Thursday night, 25-22, 14-25, 25-21 and 25-23.

The hard fought win by the girls of Gillett was earned thanks to a great effort by some of the girls in black and red.

Karissa Schaal posted 10 kills, one ace and 12 digs. Sophia Horsens posted six kills, seven assists, two aces, one block and 15 digs.

Jordan Dolata posted three kills, one ace and five digs while Meckenna Portier got three kills, one ace and a dig.



Rangers Dig up Three

Set Win Over Coleman


The Wausaukee Ranger volleyball team fought their way to a nice three set win over the Coleman Cougars Thursday evening 25-19, 25-16 and 25-15.

Leading the Rangers to the win was Courtney Messar who amassed 10 kills, 12 digs, one block and one ace. Kaelyn Schlies recorded eight kills, five digs and three aces while Kylee Smith got nine kills and eight dis.

Coleman's Kailey Klimek posted four kills, one assist, four blocks and three digs. Abigail Nowak added up two aces, eight digs and eight assists.



Coleman Drops

Three At Brillion


Competing in the Brillion volleyball tournament this past weekend, the Coleman Cougars were unable to pick up a win, losing in three games.

The first loss was to Port Washington 26-24 and 25-22 while the second came against Brillion 25-10 and 25-13. St. Mary's was the last match of the day and the Cougars fell 25-15 and 25-9.

Brooklyn Seals posted four kills, three digs and an ace for the Cougars. Kailey Klimek got three kills, two assists, three block, four aces and one dig. Cameron Compe amassed four aces, three digs, three kills and two assists.



Wausaukee Wins

At Southern Door Tourney


The Wausaukee Ranger volleyball team traveled to Southern Door this past weekend for a tournament that saw them go 5-1 on the day.

That one loss came in the first game against Sturgeon Bay, 25-18 and 29-27. But after that small hiccup the Rangers went wild, defeating Two Rivers in game two 19-25, 25-23 and 15-6.

Valders was next and the Rangers made quick work of them in a 25-19, 25-22 victory.

Next was Kiel, who Wausaukee defeated in two 25-7 and 25-18. this match was followed by a two set match with Sevastopol who the Rangers beat 25-18 and 25-16. The Rangers final win of the day came against their final opponent of the tourney Gibraltar, who they took down 25-19 and 27-25.

Leading the Rangers on the day was Courtney Messar who amassed 41 kills, 77 digs, two assists,10 blocks and four aces. Kalyn Schlies got 32 kills, 21 digs, three assists, five blocks and nine aces while Kylee Smith posted 32 kills, 25 digs, 20 blocks and five aces. Callie Orlando finished the night with 111 assists, 20 digs, four kills and three aces.



Crivitz

Defeats STAA


The Crivitz Wolverines took a nice three set home court win Tuesday night against the visiting St. Thomas Aquinas Cavaliers, 25-14, 25-8 and 25-12.

Morgan Gyger posted nine kills, for the Wolverines while also tallying nine digs and three aces. Chloe Gruszynski posted nine kills, four digs and two aces while Emalee Johnsen got six kills, five digs and two aces. Paige Nelsen recorded 26 assists and two digs.

STAA's Livia Benson got nine digs and three kills while Halle Beranek posted five kills and four digs. Kiana Bulin got five kills, seven digs, five assist and an ace.



Thunderhawks Roll

Over Tigers


The Oneida Nation Thunderhawks took a nice five set win over the visiting Gillett Tigers Tuesday night 25-11, 25-23, 16-25, 25-27 and 15-9.

Leading the way for the Tigers was Grace Wickman with 11 kills and four assists. Sophie Horsens got nine kills, 19 assists, three aces, a block and 13 digs while Camryn Long got four kills, two assist, five aces and eight digs.



Peshtigo Falls in

Three to NEW Lutheran


The Peshtigo Bulldog volleyball team hosted the NEW Lutheran Blazer Tuesday night and were handed a three set loss from the visiting Blazers, 25-23, 25-20 and 25-23.

Peshtigo's Brenna Schoenebeck got six kills, one block and two assists. Grace Wickman posted five kills, two aces and 12 digs while Lianna Baxter chipped in six kills, two digs and an ace.



Lena Falls in

Five To Niagara


The Lena Wildcats fought hard against the visiting Niagara Badgers Tuesday night but fell in the final set of a five set match. 25-22, 21-25, 21-25, 26-24 and 10-15.

Lena's Meckenna Portier got four kills, one block, one assist, five digs and eight aces while Alayna Peterson posted three kills, seven digs and seven aces.

Jasmine Racine led the way for the Badgers with 23 kills, three blocks, 13 assists, 13 digs and six aces. Jessica Oratch got 10 kills while Cassie Gill posted 15 kills, on block, four digs and three aces.



Peshtigo Takes

Loss To Oconto


Peshtigo fell in three sets to Oconto on the road Thursday.

The Bulldogs lost the first set 25-13, the second set 25-17 and the final set by another 25-13 final.

Mackenzie Morris led the team with nine assists of the team's 12.

Lianna Baxter led the team with five kills and Grace Wickman's six digs and two aces were tops on the team.

Wickman also had four kills.
